We love our roasters so much. Each partnership is extremely important to us and ultimately to you. We believe that our roasters are some of the best in the world and we are incredibly proud to represent such amazing coffees, roasters, and sourcing practices.
Most succinctly we are about coffee. Finding it, roasting it, serving it, drinking it. We are about our customers. Giving them what they want, the best way we know how. Everything we do is done in the name of quality — from the raw coffee we source, sample, and roast to the various methods we use to highlight flavors, aromas, and textures in our drinks. We maintain incredibly strict freshness policies, in green purchasing and delivery of fresh roasted coffee to our customers and shops. We are not afraid to change, try new things, or push the boundaries of specialty coffee. We believe in transparency and our baristas are prepared to share our philosophy about everything from origins to best brew methods. We take coffee seriously, and we hope that it shows.
It’s true, we geek out about the flavor complexities of our coffees, but we can also enjoy a cup with a little cream. No matter what, our goal remains the same: the passionate pursuit of tasty coffee. That pursuit is fueled by people and collaboration, such as farmers working in unison to produce a season’s crop, two distinct coffees blended together to create something new, and partnerships with forward-thinking organizations to improve lives locally and globally. We believe the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Let’s drink to that!
We are based in rural Central Wisconsin in a small town called Nelsonville. We choose to be here because of the amazing community, wealth of amazing food, farmers, breweries, and generally amazing culture. We began Ruby with a vision to share compelling coffees from the world’s most dedicated and inspiring producers. Our slogan, Colorful Coffees, reflects our approach to sourcing and our fascination with the broad range of flavors coffee has to offer!
Our goal at Dapper & Wise is to source and roast the best coffees we can find, to keep inventing new ways to treat our employees and coffee producers better, to be funny slightly more often than we are serious, to consistently offer the tastiest coffees and beverages in our cafes, to be at minimum very nice to everyone who walks in our doors, to teach our friends and customers about coffee in a nice and un-pretentious way, and to have fun while we are doing all of those things. It’s a long goal with a lot of commas and dependent clauses, but we think it’s worth it.
Sterling Coffee serves only the finest micro-hand-batch-craft-roasted coffees daily. Our passion for quality and bad jokes is rivaled only by our facility with each! Founded in 2009 in a 50 square foot stand, we moved in 2012 to a 200 square foot space, and again in 2017 to a 1000 square foot space, all on the same city block! At this rate, our location will be 1,000,000 square feet in no time at all.
Together, Backporch Coffee Roaster founders, Dave and Majell Beach, stand for their simple dream of roasting and preparing coffee. Backporch coffee roasters opened their doors in Bend, Oregon in the Fall of 2006 with a vision of sourcing direct-trade, micro-lot and estate coffee of the highest quality. Today their vision remains unchanged: “Serve coffee in a way that honors the farmers who grew it.” The End.
Upper Left Roasters was founded in the summer of 2015 and functions out of a beautiful coffee shop on Clay Street in Portland. We source distinctive yet understated coffees and roast for sublime and simple flavors on a 10kg Proaster. We reach to provide a delicious and easy experience for our lovely customers and tend to favor coffees from Ethiopia, Guatemala, and Colombia.
1000 Faces is a coffee roaster, merchant of change, and voyager of the agrarian spirit. We travel to countries of origin and establish relationships with producers to ensure the integrity of our coffee. Since we opened our doors on day one, we have been working in partnership with the two most important ends of the 1000 Faces spectrum: the grower and the customer. It is this partnership that is at the foundation for real economic sustainability for not just us, but all parties involved. We believe that respect for geographic origin, direct relationships, and ecological awareness is the basis for creating a more sustainable coffee culture. Building on these principles, from seed to cup, 1000 Faces has set out to bring forth coffees of unsurpassed integrity and quality.
